2 Days to Go!
At the beginning of summer I had intented to write on this blog everyday. Well, i had a lot of intentions in the beginning of summer. 1) the baby blanket I was going to do? I've worked on it the past two days. It should only take another 3 more years. Someone should have a baby by then. 2) Reupholstering my couch? I bought a new prettier one. Totally solved that problem. 3) Floating down the river? Well the river's been too crazy to do anything of the sort! (totally off the hook for that one). Really all I've done is move into my new house, work ( :/ ), and visit my grandparents. I have gotten a little cooking done, some failed mini cupcakes and failed cake pops. But now none of that matters, because the big day is Sunday, THE DAY WE LEAVE TO EUROPE!
So our Itinerary is as follows:
First week and a half: At my grandparents and aunt's respective places. We will be taking day trips (don't know details yet!) and chillin by the pool.
July 19th-23rd: Leaving to Paris! Five nights in the city of romance where we will be doing everything the city has to offer.
July 24th-25th: Nice, France! Tanning on the French Riviera (or in Alex's case, getting burned).
July 26th-28th: Florence, Italy! Seeing more museums and enjoying some of the wineries in the Tuscan area.
July 29th: Pisa, Italy! Well, the leaning tower of Pisa. duh.
July 30th-August 1st: Rome, Italy! Checking out the Roman culture, Vatican City, and taking a day trip to the great (ash covered) city of Pompeii.
August 2nd-3rd: Venice, Italy! 2 days to enjoy the slowly sinking city, and a little trip to the island of Murano.
August 4th-5th: Salzburg, Austria! A low key jaunt around the city, seeing a zoo (I LOVE ZOOS) and a palace with trick fountains.
August 6th: Gimmelwald, Switzerland! High in the alps is a small village called Gimmelwald. After a train to Interlaken, a train to a bus station, a bus to a gondola, and a gondola to the top of a hill, we'll arrive in Gimmelwald.
August 7th: Down the mountain to Bern, Swizerland! Medieval bear pits (now very modern with a healthy habitat for the bears) and exploring the city.
August 8th: Off to Fussen, Germany in Bavaria where we'll see the Nieshwatern Castle. Also known as the castle that inspired Disney Land's Magical Castle.
August 9th: Munich, Germany. Here we'll take a trip to the Dachau Concentration Camp, see the Haufbrauhaus, and explore the English Gardens!
August 10th-13th: ????? We have 4 extra days to explore or spend days longer in any of the cities we go to!
And until the August 18th back with fam hanging out! Hopefully now i will be keeping everyone updated (and actually telling people I have a blog).
